About me

Henry Thrasher is a New York City based actor and singer with a passion for both stage and screen that began at a young age. Born and raised in midtown Manhattan a walk away from Times Square, Henry was exposed to theatre, music and classic cinema from a young age. When he was only four years old, his parents took him to see his first Broadway musical, The Phantom of the Opera, which sparked a love of drama, spectacle, and all things spooky!

Although he is a New Yorker, frequent visits with family in Tennessee and Alabama exposed Henry to nature and the American countryside that contributed to a love of the outdoors and a sense of adventure. He also owes much of that adventurous spirit to his countless viewings of his favorite movie franchise, Indiana Jones. That also influenced a brief period in elementary school in which Henry considered becoming an archeologist. When he isn’t acting, Henry can most likely be found on the shoreline of an ocean, river, or lake photographing lighthouses and other historic structures. If he isn’t there, he’s probably at a theme park or Halloween haunted house filming content for his amusement attraction-based YouTube channel. In general, Henry has a love of travel and history, and never turns down an opportunity to learn about a place or culture, whether it be a major city or a quaint village.

He began voice lessons at the age of ten, and as a teen, attended the Drama program at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School where he began his journey as an actor-in training, studying the Greeks, Shakespeare, and performing in musicals ranging from Disney to Sondheim. He graduated Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama with a degree in Music Theatre/Acting as well as a degree in Classical Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.

Since college, Henry has been blessed to have the opportunity to perform Shakespeare, new works, Golden Age musicals, and contemporary musical theatre in addition to many concerts and cabarets. He has also acted on-camera in both Netflix and Showtime series, as well as in short films. Regardless of the form it may take, Henry is eager to tell stories and share his passion with others!
